Integrity, Transparency, and Communication
In Prince George, I’ve heard from people concerned about affordability, public safety, jobs and layoffs, housing, and the rising cost of our everyday life. They're worried about whether city services are going to keep pace with our growth. They’ve heard about our aging roads and infrastructure, and want to know whether the promise of opportunity that built this community is still going to be available for them, their children and grandchildren. These concerns are real.
They deserve more than slogans and sound bites. They deserve leadership that’s practical, responsible, and focused on results. Leadership that listens, brings people together, and works constructively with businesses, community organizations, First Nations, regional partners, and other levels of government.
Over the past decade of continuing growth, Prince George has continued to invest in the foundations of a strong city, but it is a continuing effort, never a one-and-done. We will always be building, maintaining and replacing to maintain and improve public safety, infrastructure, recreation, economic development, and our livability. The answer is not to stop moving forward. The answer is to keep building a city that is safe, affordable, and prepared for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
I won't make promises we can't deliver. We will keep building Prince George, and we will respond to crises. We will communicate openly with integrity and transparency.
